Saturday Workshops


Yealmpton Community Centre, 10am to 4pm

£25 (£30 non members) unless stated otherwise.

To reserve a place, payment is required
7 days prior to the workshop. Cancellations can

* Drinks are provided but please bring a packed
lunch and your own mug.

 


* Please supply your own materials and equipment unless advised otherwise.

* Allow 20 minutes to collect your table and set up.

January 20th  – Shirley Kirkcaldy
Expressive
landscapes
A look at an expressive approach to landscape
painting. Shirley will explore mark making and
colour mixing whilst considering composition and
tonal value.
Suitable for all levels of experience

February 3rd – Simon Young
Watercolour Painting; It’s not difficult,
Trust me!
Simon will give a short talk about his approach
to watercolours, his kit and methods; followed
by two demos. All attendees will paint the same
local scene in stages from a photo provided.
Suitable for all levels of experience.


March 9th – Clare Law
Small Pallet Knife work
Following on from the very successful workshop
in 2023, Clare will demonstrate her use of a pallet
knife.

June 22nd – Rick Holmes
Pastel and inks
Rick will be demonstrating using pastel and inks
in the landscape. He has received many awards for
his artwork. www.rickholmesartist.com


September 21st – Mark Fielding
Figures
Mark will be giving us an insight into drawing and
painting figures in our artwork. He will also look
at incorporating movement as well.


October 12th – Julie Dunster
Alla prima flowers
Julie will be demonstrating in oils but is happy
if other mediums are your thing! Bring along a
posy of flowers.


November 16th – Michael Hill
Snow Scene
Michael will demonstrate a country snow scene
which will possibly incorporate some farm buildings.
You can be sure of getting plenty of encouragement
from this very popular demonstrator!
